Web Site Promotion For The Small Business v2
December 20, 2007
If you blog regularly throughout the month, you may have quite a few blog posts for that month. That's lots of information that you have given to your readers, however, by the end of the month, has the reader forgotten all about the entries posted in the first half of the month. Maybe they got side-tracked and never got around to reading a post that is relevant to them. Maybe they just joined the blog and have not yet read this month's posts. Regardless of the reasons, you may have readers that have not read all of your posts to-date. You may want to bring these posts to their attention.
One good thing to do for your readers is to recap your most-popular posts in a summary post at the end of each month. At the end of the year, recap the most important posts for that year. This will get those older posts some attention. This will drive traffic deeper into your blog site. This is, in essence, deep-linking, which the search engine bots see as a good thing. You want to drive traffic deep into the site.
Don't let this opportunity to drive traffic deeper into your site pass you by. Make sure you summarize your posts for the month at the end of the month. Likewise, summarize your best posts for the year at the end of the year.
